It was a contest for the ages: Glenn Beck versus a paranoid, victim-playing, indignant and self-assured former Democratic congressman Eric Massa. But these two personalities did not amplify each other. Rather, the combination of Beck and Massa's neo-Beck made for one of the most boring hours ever in television. As Massa grappled with the facts of his sexual misconduct scandal, and tried to spin his resignation as an Obama act of retribution, Beck became frustrated that he could not get his guest to say anything meaningful or incriminating about the Dems' role. At the end of the show, he said to the audience, "I think I have wasted your time ... I think this is the first time I have wasted an hour of your time."
